We can confirm that there has been another death at crisis hit HMP Parc. Darren Thomas, 52, tragically passed away post‑release on 13 November 2025. His death brings the total number of deaths linked to HMP Parc to 39 since the start of 2022, a figure that has sparked outrage among campaigners and renewed demands for accountability.

HMP Parc, operated by private security giant G4S, has faced mounting criticism over its management and safety record. Each new death underscores what campaigners describe as systemic failings in the prison’s duty of care. For many, Darren Thomas’s passing is not an isolated tragedy but part of a disturbing pattern that has persisted under G4S’s watch.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. With nearly 40 deaths in less than four years, pressure is mounting for G4S to be removed from prison management. Critics say the company has consistently failed to uphold basic standards of safety and dignity, and that the government must intervene to prevent further loss of life.

As with all deaths in custody and post‑release, Darren Thomas’s case will be investigated by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman (PPO). While the investigation may shed light on the circumstances, campaigners insist that systemic change is urgently needed to address the wider issues at HMP Parc.

The rising death toll has galvanized advocacy groups, families, and communities to demand justice and reform. For many, Darren Thomas’s death is a painful reminder of the human cost of neglect and mismanagement in the prison system. The message from campaigners is clear: G4S must go.

Our thoughts remain with Darren’s family and friends at this difficult time. We stand with you in your fight for justice.
